Firday Night Strip

Firday Night Strip

I have never really used photoshop to do anything but color adjustments until this shot. This is just before you crest the hill and see "The Strip" on UT's campus. I thought taht the radial blur gave an accurate depiction of how the night goes on the strip.

I got this shot while hiking with my parents at Frozen Head S.P. I wish I had used a macro lense for this shot. I want more detail of the salamander, but the detail of the wood compliments the shot well, I think. His colors are so vibrant.

Sunset of Life

This sunset has more sentimental value than high quality of photography. This was the night my grandfather died. I stopped at a spot off the interstate and took this. One of my favorites b/c of the emotion involved.

More of these to come. This is off the first roll that I finished in Nashville on Monday (6/14/05). I'm pleased with my new filter (6 Star).

One of the few night-shots of Bonnaroo that developed worth a damn. This was a disappointing roll, but I thought that I should post at least one from it. This was some hippi with glowsticks. I like the pattern, but wish I had more of a focal point.

Wabi-Sabi is finding the beauty in imperfection. I thought that this tree represented that well. One of my favorite B&W's of the camping trip.

I love how abstract this shot is. This is one of two shots I liked of this foam in the water. I may post the other later. I am going to to attempt to write down the settings of the camera when these shots are taken, but it is difficult to keep track of.

Laydown to Rest

This is from a family graveyard that I stumbled across just off Interstate 24. I found the lack of up-keep to be quite disturbing. This shot makes me wonder what happened to the ancestors of the person under this stone. Why don't they mow?

Break in the Calm #2

One of my first, and favorite, reflection shots. The light was perfect for shooting that evening. No distortion has been placed on the colors (aka, no photoshop).

This came from a night of taking shots in downtown Knoxville. One of the more fun nights of shooting I have enjoyed.
