I got the opportunity to be the photographer for one of my best friends wedding. I've never seen her happier, it was a great experience.

Some will never know
I will start by saying that this shot is not even close to what I was hoping for. The focus was off, but the idea and timing I felt were well worth posting. I put a motion blur on the whole pic in attempts to get some uniformity.
For those of you whom look at this regularly, I have been so busy with the new job that I haven't had time to do much photography lately. Hope to find more time in the near future.

Mr. Piano Man
"Well we're all in the mood for a melody, and you got us feelin alright." Ha... love that song.

She never showed
I found this rose laying on the sidewalk, at night, in downtown Knoxville. I thought it told a good story.

Unabridged
I got the opportunity to take some shots in an art gallery the other day. I snapped a couple that I really liked, and I should have written down the artists names but I failed miserably. Here are a couple.

Give it a whirl
I may post a couple more of this fan... I haven't taken many colorful shots lately that I liked.
Train bound for glory
I'm not sure about how much I like the design of this shot, but I liked the concept and the subject so I decided to post it.

Trans America
Possibly one of the final shots of San Fran. I spent quite a while working on this to help the eye move through it correctly, and with a little design help from my aunt I think that I finally have it where I want it. Let me know what you think if you feel like commenting.

Something of a sphere
I stayed at the Hyatt in San Fran and they had this peice of art in the center of the lobby. The straight lines in the background are elevator shafts, and the "pod" in the background is one of the elevators. I have one or two more of this creation (for a lack of a better term for it) that I will post later.
Sunday Kind of Love
I was just sitting in the middle of Union Square when I watched this couple start running towards each other. I immediately became a "sniper", which I hate feeling like when I am doing street shots, but I think I came away with one of the happiest photos I have taken yet.

21st Century Ceaser
I just got back from Vegas and San Fran, when you walk into the main entrance of Ceaser's Palace this is the statue that you see. I only performed a slight saturation adjustment, but besides that this was a straight shot. I wish I had had more time to take shots in Vegas, but there was too much fun to be had at the poker and blackjack tables. :-)
Another Brick in the Wall
Welcome to attempt #2 at ghosting. I got some pretty wierd looks while taking this picture. Some people just don't think its normal to take a pic of yourself facing a wall... can't imagine why.

Customs (Blue&B&W)
Got this while walking around in Nashville one night. The architecture on this building is so impressive.
Postcard of the real world
My first attempt at using the "ghosting" technique. I'm going to have to keep working at this one, but I always like to put the first effort up as a point of comparison for future shots.
Black Dress
This girl in my class (Laura) asked me to take some portraits of her. There were 3 of each outfit (9 shots total) that I really liked, here are three of them. I had such a good time doing this shoot.

God bless the snooze button
I bought a new wide angle lense and haven't been able to use it due to the terrible weather. This was my first outing and I had a blast!
Last Nights' Project
I went out at sunrise and drove around looking for a field that open when looking east. I pulled into this neighborhood and managed to stumble across this spider-web. This may be my best nature-shot thus far. Feedback, anyone?

Breezy Night for Batman
It is so difficult to get a good shot of the "Bat tower". This was the best I could come up with. I have a new wide angle lense coming, though, so I will have to do some reshooting, but I like this pretty well for the time being.

Protection
I think I just need to let this picture speak for itself (whatever that means to the person viewing it).

a faceless woman.
I will let you decide what this means to you. Any comments are welcome and I would like to hear any interpretations. What you see behind her is a 2nd trimester fetus that is being displayed for everyone to see.
Offenders vs. Defenders
These people were told they were going to be arrested if they didn't move away from the Pro-Life event. What you see behind you is one of 6 different "scare tactics" that were set up to shock people away from abortion. As anyone whom knows me can imagine, I was unable to quite my distaste of their strategy. It was, quite possibly, the most counter-productive event I have ever been subject too. There will be more of this series coming.
Pro-Choice Rally #1
Let me reinforce that this was a Pro-CHOICE rally. Maybe that will make this picture a little more powerful.

Another Way
I consider this photo to be moderately interesting. Mainly it was an accomplishment for me b/c of the book I have been reading. It is challenging me to use lines more in my designs (and to take up song writing if I keep rhyming like that). Thus, this picture was gratifying.
I enjoy how the lines on the buildings actually help to "move" him through the frame. Let me know if anyone has any tips or thoughts.

Tiny Youth
This is one of my cousins. I love the perspective on this shot, it makes me have the eye of a child.
Monarch Azalea
Just a beautiful Easter day. I was taking some shots of the flowers around our house (I may post more later) and was able to get this Monarch butterfly to stay still for a couple secs.

'Naders in Nashville
After asking a few people about it, and 90% saying that this looks like a funnel to them, I am confident that this is a tornado attempting to form. The clouds were swirling like I have never seen before, and the conditions were perfect for them to develope. If anyone has a professional opinion about this and can prove/disprove that this is a funnel, PLEASE COMMENT. Thanks.

Gods' Spark #2
The storms here have been some of the best I have seen in my entire life. I think I may graduate and start storm chasing for a living. Kidding. Probably.

Transform
Just plain bizzare. Love the effect and think it is probably one of my best shots I have taken thus far.
Play it like you gotta pair
I got really lucky with that light on his hand. Not sure how that happened, but its a pretty cool effect.
Vintage
This 3 shot progression is of a band called "High Five For Fun". I got in touch with them and they wanted me to take some shots. These three are just a few that I liked which really panned out.
"X" marks the spot
These were caught during an awesome display of natures power. A line of supercells came through and just annialated the mid-state last night. Should have been studying, but this was much more entertaining!

Got Posterized
I really would like to take this shot with a fisheye lense, but for now this will have to work. It was a pretty good game.
Stacks Upon Stacks
Just a random trip to the library with the camera. It amazes me how many books have been written.

Pepsi Paradise
This was such a great find. These bottles were placed exactly as you see, and I have no idea how long they had been this way. This was taken in a house that was abandoned, I believe the owner of the property said it was built in 1927. I have no idea how old these bottles are.
Almost Spring
Not that it hasn't been spring all winter here in Middle TN, but I have a feeling this is the last we will see of barren trees. It was a perfect March evening, and I was fortunate enough that the man who owns this property let me go take some shots.

We become one
This was taken just before they were attacked by a cheeta. Kidding... it only got the baby zebra.

Middle TN Sunset #2
I was going to Nashville and saw the sky forming into a beautiful sunset. I got this shot from a farm off some random exit.
Hustle
I've been fortunate enough to take some shots for my school. This was just some fun that I had at attempting "panning".

There's one thing missing...
This is a personal shot. If you really want to know, ask. In terms of composition, I really like this. The shading came out nicely, also.
To my Fam: May we never forget the joy of a cup of coffee and some Bubba Pope flowers. :-)

Where We've Been
The is probably the last of the Chicago shots. One of my favorites. I Hope that it conveys how perfect the day was.

Untitled #1
This shot seems a little ironic to me. Man put the main branch there, but the building is so old that, if you click on it you can see more easily, vines are growing on the building. There is something about the composition that I don't really like, but all-in-all I thought it was a decent shot.
